Would you like to renovate your home with an aesthetic and economical floor? Opt for LVT tiles and planks! But you do not know how to choose your vinyl tiles or planks? No worries, we are here to enlighten you on this subject! With a wide choice of possible imitations, you can have the interior of your dreams at a very affordable price.

SELECTION CRITERIA

- Format: Two sizes are to be differentiated when it is desired to coat the floor with a LVT product. First, you can opt for a tile, rectangular or square format, which will give an imitation tiling and stone look to your room. If you want to have a LVT flooring with a wood and parquet imitation, the format in plank will meet your desires better as they are longer. It is up to you to choose the size you want according to the result you would like.

- The type of installation: vinyl planks and tiles are known for having a very simple installation. Anyone can do it! Four types of installation are offered to you: the interlocking "click" installation, loose-lay installation, glue-down installation or self-adhesive installation. All you have to do now is choose which pose best suits you and which one perfectly meets your needs.

- Usage & Resistance: A very important criterion not to be omitted is the use of your room. Determine whether the use of your vinyl floor will be of the professional or exclusively residential nature. Indeed, the more frequent the traffic in your room, the more your LVT planks or tiles will have to be resistant. You should be aware that a residential use is different from a professional use, so choose your floor wisely. A LVT floor suitable for professional use can easily be installed at your place. Caution, the other way round is not recommended.

- Thickness / Wear Layer: The area you want to renovate will determine the thickness required. If your room has an occasional traffic such as a bedroom or an office, the floor may have a smaller thickness with a wear layer of between 0.12mm and 0.15mm. For frequent traffic areas such as entrance and living room, a wear layer between 0.15mm and 0.25mm is required. If there is in your room an intensive traffic like a kitchen or a corridor, the floor must be thicker and the wear layer is between 0.25mm and 0.30mm.

- Various characteristics to consider: LVT planks and tiles are compatible with floor heating systems. They also have good sound and thermal insulation while being non-slippery.

- Design, style, colours: the advantage of LVT is that it offers a LOT of patterns or designs. You can have a floor with ceramic, marble, wood, metal effects. Everything is possible with LVT tiles and planks. You can also have a floor with bevelled edges to make your floor look like a real wooden floor! How awesome is this?

Let your imagination run wild.
