Everything you need to know about Wakol D3540 (by Granorte)

The Wakol D3540 Cork adhesive is the perfect glue to use in combination with the Granorte Spectrum collection and cork wall tiles. The durable adhesive glue is available in 0.8 kg (covering approx. 4m²), 2.5kg (covering approx. 12m²) and 5kg (covering approx. 25m²). The solvent-free, water-based cork adhesive also boasts its extremely high adhesive strength allowing for long-term use for glue-down cork tiles. The low in emissions adhesive is also suitable for underfloor heating and exposure to castor wheels,

The Wakol D3540 cork adhesive makes installing cork almost effortless. Before applying the Wakol D3540 to the cement-based subfloor, you must make sure the floor is dry, smooth, crack-free and free from any wax, treatment products, grease, silicone and sand dust. Then, apply the adhesive liberally and consistently with a shorthair velour roller on the cork backing. Try and apply evenly to avoid any adhesive puddles. Repeat this process to the subfloor applying evenly and fully to form a complete adhesive. Only when both adhesive films are fully dried and a closed, uniformly glossy layer is visible, lay down the cork tiles on the subfloor and knock tightly with a rubber band to ensure a complete bond formation. Continue this process when glueing the rest of your cork flooring. After you have successfully glued down all of your cork tiles, the flooring can be walked on immediately. There will be no long interruptions to your household or commercial space! After 24 hours, the surface of the cork can also be sealed.
