(When installing the 15 mm engineered parquet over underfloor heating, full-surface bonding is recommended to reduce thermal resistance). Under normal wear conditions, the Bennett & Jones Young Elite parquet floor can be sanded twice.

The wear layer of the parquet wide planks measures 4.0 mm in the 15 mm version and 3.0 mm in the 14 mm version. The wear layer is made from oak hardwood, while the core layer consists of spruce wood and the backing layer is made from poplar wood. This natural parquet flooring from Bennett & Jones Young Elite therefore creates a healthy indoor living environment. The grading of the oak parquet collection is very traditional, while also encompassing both distinctive and classic characteristics.

The handcrafted, natural oiled finish gives the real wood parquet a stylish, harmonious appearance without strong light reflections. As the parquet is brushed, the solid wood floor offers a soft texture and refined visual appeal. Some Bennett & Jones parquet options are also smoked, giving the modern parquet floor an elegant dark tone. In contrast, the white natural oil finish creates a particularly harmonious and soft effect. While most parquet floors in the Bennett & Jones Young Elite collection feature a bevel on all four sides, the oak parquet floors Durham and Leeds are designed with a micro-bevel on all four sides, protecting the edges against chipping.
