Quiet tones, loud colours - linoleum design in visual harmony

With the Forbo Marmoleum Piano range, you can enjoy the perfect combination of quiet, muted designs and eye-catching colours. Forbo's linoleum floor has a delicate structure that is very discreet thanks to the colour coordination with the basic colour. The abstract structure is perfectly coordinated with the colourings of the collection through a colour variation and thus has a particularly harmonious effect, allowing you to create a discreet room image. But also, for the more experimental renovators, there are powerful variations to be found in this selection. In contrast to the quiet, discreet design, linoleum flooring comes up trumps with a selection of strikingly loud colours. Subtle shades of beige and grey are available here, as well as powerful shades of yellow, red, green and blue. For example, you can opt for a combination of quiet design and loud powerful colour. Discover Forbo Marmoleum Piano now and compose your masterpiece!

Forbo Marmoleum Piano: the choice is yours!

You can now choose your favourite from a selection of twenty colourations! Here you can choose between subtle colours, such as the beige version Forbo Marmoleum Piano "3630 Angora" or the grey version Forbo Marmoleum Piano "3601 Warm Grey" and eye-catching rainbow colours. For example, among the loud colourations in this collection is the Forbo Marmoleum Piano "3622 Mellow Yellow" variant. The strong yellow shade makes all your rooms shine and is very flashy. But the sweet seduction Forbo Marmoleum Piano "3625 Salsa Red" is also a real eye-catcher. With the design variation in radiant red, this variant is particularly loud and striking, allowing you to create an incomparable room concept. Also discover the other colourations of this selection, which you can now find in the BRICOFLOR online shop.

Firmly bond linoleum to the substrate: Laying by gluing

Linoleum is a natural and, above all, robust renovation partner. To be able to exploit the full power of this natural floor covering, the linoleum sheets must be firmly bonded to the subfloor. To do this, the linoleum floor must be laid with the subfloor. This is the only way it can withstand all stresses and strains and is therefore particularly suitable for installation in public buildings. No matter whether in schools, nurseries or hospitals: The installation of linoleum always follows the same work steps! These require a certain amount of work, which can be mastered by professional floor layers as well as hobby craftsmen, with a little skill and know-how.

Forbo linoleum flooring for gluing - the long-lasting installation solution

The installation of linoleum flooring requires a certain amount of time, but it pays off with years of use. There are three basic steps in the installation process: preparation, installation and drying. First of all, the subfloor must be cleaned of old coverings, coarse and fine dirt, grease and unevenness. Uneven areas, such as cracks or holes, are only a hindrance to the natural linoleum flooring. However, these can be evened out with the help of a commercial filler. Such filler can be purchased at any hardware store, for example. Then the Forbo linoleum floor or its strips must be adapted to the existing room dimensions. In particular, cut-outs must be made for bay windows, heating pipes and the like so that nothing stands in the way of the subsequent gluing. In the second basic step, the linoleum floor must be firmly bonded to the subfloor. For this step, the subfloor must first be provided with a consistent layer of adhesive. The linoleum can then be laid into this. The individual strips must be laid butt to butt in the adhesive bed so that there are no gaps. Overlapping of the strips should also be avoided. Once the room is completely covered with linoleum, the adhesive bed only needs to dry and harden so that the linoleum floor is firmly bonded to the subfloor.

Natural linoleum flooring complemented by the best of technology: Forbo Marmoleum Piano

The 2.5 mm thick linoleum flooring of the Forbo Marmoleum Piano selection is already convincing on account of its natural strengths alone, but the linoleum also achieves a multitude of other qualities through processing. For example, the linoleum has technical product features such as fire behaviour Cfl-s1, slip resistance class R9 and slip resistance DS. In addition, the linoleum has approx. 5 dB improvement in impact sound as well as suitability for installation over underfloor heating and for use with chair castors (type W). The suitability for chair castors means that the 2.00 m wide linoleum sheets can be easily driven over with chair castors, such as those used on desk chairs, without damaging the linoleum flooring. Thanks to these and many other technical quality features, the linoleum in the Forbo Marmoleum Piano collection is a hard-wearing and flexible linoleum floor that you can rely on!
