With the skirtings, Fortelock offers a practical accessory to your PVC industrial or garage floor. The PVC tiles with plug-in system are optimally protected thanks to colour-matching skirting boards and also offer a uniform and self-contained appearance. Simply choose the matching skirting boards to go with your PVC garage tiles, continue chequerboard patterns or accentuate the edge area in a different colour: the PVC skirting boards are also an important component of the Fortelock garage floor from an aesthetic point of view.

The installation of skirting boards is particularly recommended when installing in high-traffic areas such as in the industry sector. The skirting boards, which have to be installed relatively high up, not only protect the floor but also the walls from scratches or abrasion marks, and water penetration via the side edges is also prevented. Inadequately cut edge tiles can be concealed and dirt accumulation in the expansion joints is also prevented. The matching skirtings for the PVC garage floor ensure a smooth finish and thus fulfil both a technical and visual function.

The Fortelock skirtings can be glued or drilled. In combination with Fortelock's self-adhesive baseboard, the skirting board can be installed quickly and easily. After gluing or screwing the baseboard in place at a height of 42 mm above the garage floor, the elastic skirting boards are simply pushed into the plastic skirting. To do this, insert the tiles into the top of the skirting board and press down with light pressure. The skirting board should then rest gently on the PVC floor, slightly bent in, and thus protect the tiles from unwelcome influences. The skirting boards are cut to size with a cutter knife or a fine-toothed mitre saw. Corner pieces can be cut to size at a 45° angle.
