Everything you need to know about Fortelock Plastic Rail "White" (250 cm)

The Fortelock baseboard finishes off the look of your garage, workshop or warehouse and protects both the Fortelock garage floor and walls from scratches and knocks, water penetration and dust and dirt. Combined with Fortelock's PVC skirting boards, the plastic skirting forms the perfect finish to a hard-wearing industrial and garage floor.

Simply choose the skirting board that matches the colour of your PVC tiles with plug-in system. All you need to do is attach the elastic, self-adhesive plastic skirting to the wall and simply slide the skirting into place. The baseboard thus forms a practical aid for attaching the PVC skirting boards and saves you having to use a lot of tools.

The advantages of attaching the skirting boards via the baseboard are manifold: The highly attached skirting boards protect the wall from footprints and scuff marks. In the case of an inadequate tile finish and wide expansion joints, water penetration via the side edges is prevented and provision is also made against dirt deposits. Poorly cut tiles can also be concealed very easily. Finally, the base strip in combination with the Fortelock skirting boards forms a functional and aesthetic finishing solution for your PVC garage or industrial floor. The Fortelock baseboards are available in universal black, white or grey. The use of skirting boards is particularly recommended when using Fortelock PVC industrial flooring, i.e. in areas with increased load.

The Fortelock baseboards can be glued, clamped, nailed or screwed per se, depending on the wall conditions. The adhesive tape on the back of the baseboard simplifies installation. The skirting board then only has to be pushed in. The installation height is the most important thing to consider here. The baseboard must be installed 42 mm above the PVC garage floor. In the Fortelock Industry collection, this height corresponds to exactly six tiles stacked on top of each other. Before gluing the plastic strips, they should be cleaned and brought to the correct length.

Once the Fortelock baseboard is installed, the skirting boards can simply be pushed in. The elasticity of Fortelock skirting tiles makes installation easy. The tiles are first pushed into the baseboard at the top and then pressed downwards so that the lower part rests gently folded on the tiles. The pressure created in this way optimally protects the floor from water and dirt and provides a uniform appearance.

You can cut the PVC skirting boards to size with a cutter knife. Corner pieces can be cut to size at a 45° angle with the help of an angle to ensure a neat finish even in the corners. The individual collection decors of the skirtings can also be combined with each other so that you can, for example, continue chequerboard patterns on the wall. It is also possible to choose different colours for skirting boards and flooring. In this way, the room can be attractively accentuated and framed.
